English for everyone

In the school year 2023/2024, 7 native speakers are teaching at our school, who, in addition to teaching English, also participate in the teaching of other subjects using the CLIL method ( Content and Language Integrated Learning) . Lessons with a native speaker enable children to communicate in a foreign language not only within English lessons, they help remove the shame that accompanies the use of a foreign language, they motivate children to develop their language skills individually... We called this concept English for all .

 

The schedule of CLIL lessons looks like this: at the first level, children come into contact with English in this way three hours a week (e.g. during primary education, science, art education, work activities), at the second level twice a week (e.g. as part of geography, art education, music education, physics, work activities). For the successful operation of such a schedule, it is necessary to coordinate Czech teachers and native speakers, plan teaching in tandem, prepare high-quality materials and teaching aids.
